Hulu Originals 2016
I led the development of the updated Hulu Originals Identity to launch the new slate of premium Originals including the Handmaid’s Tale and 11-22-63 in 2016. I worked closely with my design lead Stan Lim and the amazing Loyalkaspar to develop the visual identity we called “Magic Hour” which captured the anticipation, warmth and cinematic quality of these series’ elevating light. Man Made Music landed the memorable and iconic 4-note melody that has carried through in recent rebrands.
The opening pre-roll element appeared in front of all Hulu Originals episodes and a closing post-roll element resolved in a night-time version designed to work harmoniously in binge scenarios.
