The first official spot for The Handmaid’s Tale was the:30 second Super Bowl teaser that aired in 2017. We cut the spot entirely in-house, led by the formidable Yoshie Suzuki, and the talented team of editors and motion designers. The spot became a key element in the award-winning marketing campaign for Season 1 as it created a dark and emotional tone, aided by Kid Cudi’s track “Releaser”, while intriguing viewers with its dystopic premise that drew the largest premiere audience in Hulu’s history.
