Discovered on Hulu
With the launch of “For the Love of TV” we positioned Hulu as a brand that exists to celebrate the fans of TV. Our promise was to always speak in a two-way relationship with fans, because we at Hulu were fans too! And talking about tv is the way so many of us connect. So, the idea of real Hulu viewers talking about new shows they discovered on Hulu or old favorites they rediscovered felt like a truly authentic way of expressing and sharing our shared love.
We engaged real Hulu viewers through our subscriber network and got a huge response. We flew around the country to big towns and small towns to find and interview Hulu viewers with a story to tell about their favorite show and what it means to them personally. We produced nearly 40 of these spots over two years and targeted on-channel to interested viewers of like shows. They both enforced our brand values and promoted library content at an efficient price point being produced entirely in-house.
